People always think I'm exaggerating but that place is a nightmare. I wouldn't stray too far from the yellow brick road.

I was born in Seoul but never had the chance to visit Asia again.

Has your experience been as fear inducing as my own?

Funny you say that. I had a friend of a friend that hitchhiked around Mexico a few years ago. I want to say he mainly did it in the Western part of the country, but he said he ran into no problems. He had some crazy pictures and said he was going to write a blog about it, but I've yet to be informed of the link if he ever did.

His father is Honduran, so he does have darker skin and hair and speaks fluent Spanish so maybe they thought he was one of them.

If you can blend it ain't much of a problem but even in safer areas I've been challenged. My dad (who is a whiter, taller, jorts wearing projection of me) got us into a bit of trouble here in Mexico City. I've seen tourists all over backpack and I say more power to 'em. Seen enough people get their heads chainsawed off to not take risks these days.

Keeping all of Mexico related topics here.

I have a website in English that I want to share (Moderators can delete it if it's out-of-bounds as it does contain explicit, but journalistic material).

A total of 21 unidentified individuals were found dead in a number of hidden graves in the southwestern Mexican state of Guerrero, according to Mexican news accounts.

A news report which appeared in the online edition of Animal Politico said that 21 bodies were recovered in Taxco de Alarcon municipality since Saturday night. A Mexican army unit received an anonymous tip about the mass grave, which was said to be near location called Puente Campuzano.

When was the last time 21 corpses were found in America?

I think some, bunch of crazys that died in some mental joint. And I mean some actual mental institution even though the entire landmass could easily be referred to as that

Like a racial epithet? For some reason ''Cheeseface'' made me laugh a lot. Queso Oaxaca is really pasty white but they really don't have any good words for white folk.

It's pretty difficult to racially insult a white person in general.

But in my defense this is actually pretty common here. Veracruz was really bad a year and a half ago. And these are usually pretty fresh, only a few years or months old.

The one up north was way worse.

Oh no, I know you are right. That headline is just what I immediately thought of when I said that. They aren't afraid of a little blood across the border.

It was certainly a clumsily asked question as I had already read about it. They actually found 13 here in MXC, done in with a hacksaw.
