Well yeah, the Boston players, particularly the big 3, didn't appreciate it. He certainly never became the villain that Durant became last year. Ray Allen knew the C's and the Big Three's glory days were over once the Heat finally beat them and he bailed.

It took the Ray Allen trade to the Heat to push the Heat into another realm. It was addition (to the Heat) by subtraction from the main opponent.
Just for the record, I agree that Boston was the first "big three" and superteam. The only difference is that then, those bold moves were pushed by management by trades. Miami's big three was pushed by players wanting to play with each other.

Sure, they certainly were a better team with him. They had similar results for the two years without him and the two years with him though. He did pretty much single handily help them avoid elimination in that game 6 against the spurs.
