I understand but not all towns are open late at night etc. I drove from anchorage to Albuquerque this summer.

Or seasonally. Late fall you might have trouble finding gas or a place to sleep/eat through northern BC and the Yukon.

I drove it in 1998 from Seattle to Anchorage. You are right the Milepost is a must. It saved my butt plenty. My only regret I was in a hurry. Drive it in 3 days. I always thought I would get to do it again. Not sure if that will happen.

I did it about 5 years ago in August and it was awesome. Highly recommend.
