Tillery's Hustle for Hope The 3rd annual Tillery's Hustle for Hope will be Saturday May 18th at Victor Ashe Park in Knoxville. Tillery is my 5 yr old great niece who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in late 2014.
After 15 surgeries in 4 yrs, Tillery's tumor is 'dormant' and things look good. But her mother, Alana,my niece, started doing this and the money raised goes back to other children's cancer organizations.
Some of you, especially Tennessee fans, might remember "Jax",whom sadly passed away a year ago. Tillery and her family were very close to Jax and remain close to his family.

I'm fat and out of shape...so I probably won't even attempt it...but I will share it locally with the people I do know that run.
Also, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation usually has a fund raiser motorcycle ride in the Knoxville area each year. They are doing it on The Dragon this year. Deal's Gap Ride for Kids The event is always attended by some of the leading researchers in pediatric brain tumors...if your family doesn't know about it, they should check it out.
I have a friend whose daughter was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor when she was 5. She had some amazing doctors...after operations and chemo...she is a Freshman at UT and cancer free. Her family still participates each year in the Ride for Kids...

thanks. AWESOME news about your friend's daughter. We went up to Cincinnati Children's twice to see Tillery while she was there. Oh,man. That place will break your heart.

I still have a lot of friends in the greater Knoxville area, and I know several runners myself. I'll spread the word. If you'd like to, try reaching out to Knoxville Endurance. Hopefully they can pass the race info along.
Hope this helps
