I bet you can’t drive 55 on them backroads
Had some wild drives/rides heading home from the rig on backroads. Open a bottle of crown, throw the cap out the window and none of the crew could get out till it was gone.
Always thought the drives too and from the rig were more dangerous than the roughnecking.

Good times. Used to have fun driving the gravel roads. Police could never catch me I knew all the fields to cut thru. Get stuck just go borrow a farmers tractor and leave a thank you note with $5 for them after returning. Brass Monkey was popular then. Fun times with mu buddies.
One friend borrowed his parent’s Dodge dart and the air vent on passenger side down by feet was huuuge. We hid 12 packs in there and cops never found in all my young hellraising years but they just knew we had beer lol.

I miss the road trips we would drive 70 miles or more with just a couple of friends driving dirt roads drinking beer. Good times now I never have time for it.

Yup, we used to buy beer at age 15/16 because local girls worked there and sold to us. Drive around the county mostly back gravel roads. Great times.
