I watched a video of a person recently that had been institutionalized for a somewhat severe schizophrenic condition, and my thoughts were that he could be any random individual that you interact with who seems a little "off," or perhaps what we'd brush off (colloquially) as autistic.

Point is, it's not really something I like to think about, but I believe we have a serious mental health crisis in this country, and our inability to label or even discern "eccentric kookiness" from legitimate psychosis because we're afraid to hurt someone's feelings is extremely troubling, once you start going down that rabbit hole.

It's also concerning to me that there are corners of the internet where people like this feel emboldened in their warped thoughts because of confirmation bias, which is something we've never really seen or had to deal with before. (wait a minute...)

But seriously, I think there are a lot of people emboldened these days by their own crazy bullshite, and it's one of the reasons we get so divided — there's a small chance that people screaming the loudest with their ideals about politics, policy, religion, anything, are legitimately insane.

Problem is "a video" is just not the same as real life and the same room. Imagine one of the hotter women you ever dated being in an asylum 30 to 50 years ago, nekkid as the day she was born with cavewoman hair and real crazy eyes.

The mind may be a terrible thing to waste but a mind that far on the edge is a whole different ballgame.

Sounds better than the reality, trust me on this one!

So many tales to ticklish to tell but the reality just was a boner killer.
