After being told I wouldn't be able to run for a year because of achilles surgery, I was cleared yesterday at my 6 month check up to start jogging again. Just got off the treadmill. Did a little 20 minute jog. Pretty impressive for a nearly 50 year old idiot IMHO.

Thought this was about sobriety.

That's coming up in December. 11 and 1/2 years... minus a few "cheat days" in that span. Maybe 5 or 6.

Congratulations! Bouncing back from a foot injury is hard. Many, many moons ago I broke my foot and it is such a pain to recover from. Doing a 20 minute jog is fantastic.

Since you don't drink the next meal is on me if we ever bump into each other in person. Just don't drag me out to the most expensive place in town and make me pay 200 dollars for you to eat snails or something.

Phenomenal, TL. I have a friend who just gave up on running after tearing his achilles and going through the surgery and rehab. I know that's a tough injury, surgery, and recovery to get over.

Glad you are healing up and ahead of schedule

My running days are over. Just have to be able to have enough gears to outrun over protective momma cows.

Congrats bro, didn’t know you were gimped up. I would’ve messed around with your old lady had I known. Seeing how I could’ve out ran you.

FWIW I can still be outrun. I'm pretty much right past a brisk walk.

damn, another reason to hate cats. My daughter when she was 10 or so showed up one day with a 20 lb tom cat that the neighbor “gave” her. When I reached down to return this spawn of satan, it latched it four paws and four canines into my left inner thigh. The screams that I thought it was making actually were mine.

I hate fricking cats.
