frick cancer.
Jordan Barrett knows he doesn't have long left, but he wants to spend what little remains with the love of his life
quote:
LOCUST GROVE, Ga. — Forever is a promise Jordan Barrett knows he can’t keep. The 24-year-old was given just 4 months to live - and he wants to promise whatever time he has left to his girlfriend, Mikayla.
Jordan was diagnosed with stomach cancer last year. In a dramatic bid to save his life, doctors removed his entire stomach to try and eradicate the cancer from his body. But just months after the surgery, the cancer was back, and more aggressive than ever.
Doctors then gave him the devastating news that he didn’t have long to live.
Jordan says he didn’t want anyone to know when he first found out. He was trying to hide from the world and the truth.
But he courageously decided he wants to live the rest of his life out loud. He wants to live his life with Mikayla.
As his dying wish, Jordan is marrying Mikayla on Saturday, and everyone who loves them wants to make this the most magical day possible.
The community is stepping up to make that dream a reality for the couple, with several local companies helping out to make Jordan's wish come true.
Sarah Bryan is organizing the day with her company, B Inspired Events.
Several other companies, such as Ohana Professional Bartenders, Moonstone Photography, Josh Hill Films, Chef Steve Creations, Ice Cream Trailer, The Cereal Lab, Kay the MUA Cosmetics, Carola’s Kitchen, Your Best Guest, One Night Entertainment, Blank Canvas Event Rentals, Southern Vintage, Soulscribe, E. Stokes Creations, N’pressed Collections, and Gemini Fusion, are also donating their services to the couple.
Countless other people are volunteering to set up and break down the meaningful event.
When Mikayla walks down the aisle tomorrow, Jordan will see forever in her eyes - he just wishes it was long enough.

How horrible. I hope they have some good days during this time. God bless the community for rallying.

They live 20 minutes from me.
Locust Grove is a small town. It's blown up the last 15 years. It literally used to have one stop light when I was growing up but not anymore. It's still a great community. The traffic at I-75 and Tanger Outlets blows hot rancid arse, though.
