Womens BBall has had 3 starters have season ending injuries. Has 2 top 50 recruits coming in. One of which is a McDonalds All-American. So yes I would say they are on the upswing compared to where the program has been.

I knew Bri Porter. Who else?

Lianna Doty, was the starting PG, Lisfranc injury.
Kayla McDowell,ACL, was averaging 8 & 7 per game.
Porter, ACL.
Also a reserve guard Carrie Shrphard, stress fracture.
The Morgan Eye missed some early season action due to a knee injury.
Despite all that they have still been competitive in most games. Has similar problems that the men have. Struggle to score and struggle to finish teams off.

Frank Haith as a coach is alright. He did OK at Miami with a relatively limited ceiling. He may have overachieved a bit, with a little help from cheating. (he did get suspended, remember?)
I don't blame anyone for the hire, we were left with nothing and no time when Suitcase Mike left.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't believe it would have mattered who the coach was for the 2011-12 season, those seniors would have done just as well without a coach.
That said, he did do a pretty good job of gameplanning with only 7 scholarship players. They often blew people out, so in game coaching wasn't an issue. The signs of his terrible in game coaching were there though. Oklahoma St and Kstate come to mind. Also allowing the ku comeback. The NCAA tournament was no ones fault. O'quinn simply had the game of his life. We shot well that game, just one of those miracle games for a tiny school.
Being behind the 8 ball on recruiting, haith took on some questionable recruits and transfers. He rightfully wanted to keep winning, so he took the short term solution. His in game abilities truly became apparently lackluster by allowing Phil to simply jack up a 3 at the end of the game time after time.
We all saw last year....and he obviously saw what was coming this year, so he left. As a professional, it was a good move. His heart wasn't here, so I'm glad he moved on.
Decent to good gameplanner, terrible game manager. For being such a great recruiter, I haven't seen it.
I'm neither a KA supporter or hater. I wanted Gregg Marshall.
As for comparisons, Haith did stand up for his team quite a bit. He showed emotion occasionally, and seemed active in the game despite his lack of talent in managing. KA doesn't show the same heart or emotion. He seems more like a chess player, carefully choosing his words and actions.
I was very happy with what KA did in the time he was given with recruiting....and have not been happy since. I don't see any improvement with the team.
This is the Show Me State. Show Me some heart. Show Me some wins.

KAs coaching ability won't really be evident until next year. In season development doesn't really happen much in basketball.
In season coaching adjustments are more about limiting exposure to a teams weaknesses. The weaknesses of strength & lack of offensive skills cant be covered by coaching.
Those should develop over the offseason, as well as in recruiting players that can fill obvious holes.

I don't know what's going on in this thread. I had tickets to the Stanford Vs UCLA game last night and now I return to this?
I won't post anymore in this thread because I'm not bringing drama from other places here and I promised the mods. It appears I have a stalker hassling me. I'm sorry.
Edit to add: maybe "Actual Andytiger" could actually be my twin. His third post itt "Don't worry, I have no intention of posting here anymore" but he/she posts two more times. Now that does mimic my behavior. It's a character flaw I'm working on.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I see absolutely no improvement in the program. In fact I would say the women's BB team has taken a step back.

@fake AndyTiger, God you're a psycho.
No, folks, this guy is not me. Not even remotely convincing.
I didn't go to the Stanford vs UCLA game last night. I have a baby right now and I haven't been going to games.
THis guy is a clown.
A dead giveaway is he's acting like I'm rivals with VP and Dreamlaw and guys like that. Truth is I don't give a shite about those guys. If I had rivals, they were Kev and Gary.
