Cantwell is big and strong. He is a violent run blocker and pushes the DL down the field until the whistle and sometimes a little after. He tore a kids ACL on a pancake when the play was on the other side of the field. He is better than I thought he would be. DGB and Cantwell are the 2 best HS players I have watched and I don’t know which is better. Excited to watch Cantwell play again next year.

Nixa has 3 good OL, so instead of putting their best DE on Cantwell Webb City would rotate backups against him constantly and let him push the DE out of the play and shoot a safety or LB in the gap. Most of the time Webb City would lineup in a 4-4 and pull back into a 3-5-3 and rush a safety. It worked in the 1st half, but Webb City got exhausted going up against their huge line.

Cantwell is a beast and Nixa’s OL is huge and their other tackle might be an All-State T

Nixa’s QB is a Sophomore and he is really good. He is fast and has a cannon for an arm. Posted about him last year after I watched him in a freshman game. By the end of the year he will be better and Nixa will be hard to beat. A few people were talking about how he is a better baseball player and can get drafted out of HS. Don’t know if that’s true

Nixa won’t lose a game until the Semi-Finals or in the State Championship. Nixa is better than Webb, but it should have been a much closer game. 27-21 at the half and ended up being 55-21

Webb City has played 2 really bad games in the past 30 years. District Championship against Carthage in the Mid 2000’s and tonight. Webb’s best offensive player Gabe Johnson is probably out for the season. He is 1 of 3 freshman to to play at Webb City since the 80’s. Grant Windstorm a top 10 draft pick and LB Mark Smith 1st team All-SEC. Gabe had to 2 cousins play at Mo State and his grandpa or dad played BB in Europe. He plays WR, RB, QB, and CB. Next year Webb will have him and a transfer RB from California that is going to be really good. Nixa will probably be the only team that will beat them next year until the 5A state semifinals. Webb City is going to be hard to beat next year.

Tonight Nixa had a lot of penalties 4 or 5 personal fouls, other than that they played great. Webb City’s QB missed a few wide open passes that would have probably been TD’s and he dropped the ball on a spin move that would have been a TD, but went for a scoop and score. They also had a 3rd and goal from the 3 and 4th from the 2 and got stopped at the 1.
