Is the trip to Atlanta only based on east division win record or can cross losses send a team with more losses in division to SECCG if their overall record is better.

I was thinking we only have to beat UT and UK to win the east. Am I mistaken?

Pretty much needs South Carolina to lose one game and Mizzou to win 3 out of 4.

SC have Miss State and Florida left. Florida will be a good game. If Mizzou can win the next 3 and Florida beats SC then Mizzou got the East on lock. Either way Mizzou controls their own destiny.

Mauk is a major liability, he is terrible.

Come on dude, Mauk is not terrible. He is a very young QB that had a ton of success at the high school level and thinks it will be the same in college playing exactly the way he plays the game. His problem is he is overconfident and thinks his skill alone is good enough.

He has the gunslinger attitude, but unless he tones it down some, he will be a turnover machine. The two games he has played, he has been damn lucky not to have a half dozen picks already. I'm hoping there is a serious QB competition next spring between him and Prinz. We still have this year though, and think Mauk is adequate until we get Franklin healthy and back.

Blame anyone you want because there is enough to go around. The real difference in this ballgame was Conner Shaw. The minute he came in, the direction of the game changed. He is one damn good QB, an experienced senior that came in under shitty circumstances (his knee) rallied the troops and won a game they absolutely had to win. I hate the loss as much as the next guy, but as a football fan, I tip my hat to the young man.

Trip to Atlanta is based on ALL SEC games. So OM and A&M will matter.

Mauk is not good. He's not terrible but he has not been good. I would be shocked if he beats out Printz next year. But he is probably our best option at this point. He may be good enough to get Mizzou past UT and UK though I'm not sold on that either.

All the coaches need to do is watch the tn-al game from yesterday. Tennessee is very beatable. Their qb makes very poor decisions under pressure, and while their OL is good, they can be beaten. Their defense isn't there yet. Based on what I saw yesterday, we should win that game.

The jury is still out on Mauk. He is young, inexperienced and going through the process of what he can and can't do in college football. No doubt he is smart enough to recognize what makes a QB effective in this conference, my concern is will his ego get in the way. Writing this kid off so early is incredibly short sighted and asinine.

This isn't specifically directed at you reedus, but anyone with this mindset.

It's no worries. While I really haven't been wowed by Mauk so far this year, my predictions about next year are as much a reflection of my feelings on Printz as they are a reflection of Mauk.

Mauk will be serviceable until Franklin gets healthy, and he is young, but he's not the answer this year once Franklin is healthy and personally don't think he's the answer next year when Mizzou has Printz as well.

Then again, I'm no coach and I don't see these kids play/practice.

I do not like Mauk. I think he has potential. But, I don't think he will be where he needs to be this year. Takes too many risks. Next year could be better, and should be better. Also, our WR's dropped some balls that shouldn't have been dropped. But, oh well. Like I always say, I wasn't on the field and would give anything to be on the field. Got to pick up our heads and move on. Can't let it linger.

Ole Miss game I think is when Franklin comes back.

This definitely worries me.

I hate the loss for y'all, but you're still having a great year. I just wish you would have come to Ole Miss undefeated. We were getting our hopes up that Game Day could potentially come then, which would be our first time ever hosting it.
