Haith was coach of the year his first year. Made the tourney his first two years and the NIT last season. If you think that sucks look at Painter, Suitcase and Huggins the last three years. The NCAA problems was a big black eye for him and then the pot arrests and Price fiasco really put him on the outs with Alden and even more so with Tiger fans. The fans had already spoken by not coming to the games.
I have gone from Luke warm about Anderson to very excited. He is the right hire at the right time. We know we have a coach with genuine passion about Missouri basketball who bleeds black and gold. He has retained Fuller, Loos has Missouri roots and is well connected. I'm looking forward to seeing who fills out his staff. Make no mistake about it. Anderson is well respected throughout the state. For those that aren't thrilled about the hire give the man a chance.

Marshall was in play as late as Sunday night. I don't know if Alden had a plane to catch or what. But if he hadn't finalized a coach, he needn't have called the BOC meeting for Monday. He could've gotten his response from his first options and then started leaking and priming Anderson as the choice. Maybe he was trying to do that all along and I just didn't take it seriously because no one else would hire Kim for a d1 position.
I'm actually over it. We've seen a lot of bad basketball for the last 12 years or so and if we see some more the world won't end.

I am now convinced this is a fantastic hire. There will be state wide support for coach Anderson like we have never seen for a Tiger coach. Past Tiger players are all in for coach Anderson. Get on board.

I would say that when some of you folks come to the realization that Mizzou just ain't a great job you might be able to come to grips with the fact no big name coach would touch the job.
I don't expect to get the best coaches but to think that MU always has to settle for the last resort is BS. I will give Anderson a chance but it ticks me off that people think Mizzou always has to settle for bare minimum.
