The only way it is not Odom, is if MR is a magician

I personally expect Odom to be announced as the HC today or tomorrow.

While there has been "smoke" about a lot of sub par candidates(Calhoun, Rhule, Dykes, Bobo), there has been virtually zero chatter of anyone else.

Is it possible that MR has managed to interview Patterson, Herman, Fedora, or another high profile candidate without anyone knowing about it? I mean there's barely a rumor out there about any of these guys.

The truth is, the coaching market was very saturated with good jobs, but there aren't really a lot of good coaches available. USCw saw this, hired an interim. LSU couldn't get their guy, so they kept Miles. UGA went with an Alum with no HC experience. Richt to Miami is another Alum hire.

There hasn't been a big splash hire outside of Fuente and that was locked up before the season had even ended.

If there was a big splash hire on the horizon we would have heard about it, at least a whisper somewhere that isn't TB or some guy with a strategic comms "in".

It's Odom, it's probably always been Odom, and that's why Odom told Memphis to EAD this week.
