You're missing the point. Again.

The point was that the tired excuse of the protests is bullshite. IF IF IF IF this team had won 10 games last year and IF IF IF IF IF it were 2-0 this year, the seats would be full. In other words, the protests and the toxicity is a bullshite excuse. Win and win the fan base back or continue pulling a KA until the stadium is filling with 5,000 per game and get fired. What BO does...we will see.

I've never used the protests as an excuse for the job BO has done.
The protest did chase a couple more proven coaches away.
BOs age and reputation amongst football coaches will give him another shot if he fails at Mizzou.

The schools that were recruiting BO to be their DC, at the time he was in consideration for the Mizzou HC job all pay their DCs around $1 million a year. So yes if he doesn't figure it out at Mizzou as the HC he will be just fine.

It's just far from guaranteed that he will fail here.

That some can stop blaming the sub par performances on things other than the HC.

I agree...if we had won 10 games last year, and 2-0 this year, Memorial .Stadium would be full to the brim! The protests have nothing to do with attendance, and recruiting. It might have the 1 st year, but this is year 3 post protest!
I do think it had a huge effect on coaches wanting to come here when Pinkie retired in mid season! (Btw...I don't buy the excuse that Pinkie cancer had reemerged. It was in remission in May.) He felt the heat from big donors for his actions during the protest! And yes, I think he was very very wrong in what he did! He works for MU, and his loyalty should be there...period. Even if he thought Mizzou was wrong, and the hunger strike was right...blah...blah....blah, he still at a minimum has to remain neutral in matters like this!

I know that the negative recruiting by other schools still happens. But negative recruiting is going to happen no matter what, so that's not an excuse.
I actually like the recruiting done so far this year. There's a lot of high 3 star recruits, some will probably be 4 stars before the cycle is done. There's really only 2 local recruits that Mizzou has missed out on, that I think are misses. The DB from KC and the LB from STL. That could obviously be get worse if Babb, Perkins, Trout and Thompson don't pick Mizzou. Mizzou would also have a top 25 class if those guys pick Mizzou.

If you don't think that had a MAJOR impact on the football program then I'm not sure what to tell you...

It had an impact. Other things had much more impact. So what's major?
