There are a lot of things that go into playing center. It's a pretty cerebral position, as you have to make the calls for the OL, call out the checks, slide protection etc

I think that's what they like about Abeln. He's a smart guy and I'm sure has a great grasp on those things.

Last year, it was pretty obvious he was not physically ready to play but I've noticed that a lot of guys look bigger this year and with another year in S&C hopefully he has gotten to that point.

Anybody know what's up with Rhodes?

Can't find the picture, but Hilton certainly looks to have put on some good weight. He was pretty skinny last year but has filled out quite a bit.

Odom said if he didn't move to defense he'd be starting at WR right now too.

This guy is just a really good football player. I'm warming to him at safety. Think he'll be a playmaker for us there.

Agree. We are in desperate need of a ball-hawking safety.

Gabe is reporting Abbington has left the team. Also Rhodes supposedly has not been practicing due to "personal reasons" but is still thus far on the team.

Abbington was rumored to be looking at leaving the team back in the fall.
Good thing BO signed 2 backs this year. I think both play this year.
