JFF is a good QB, but I really think he's lost the will to be as good as he can be. It's obvious he's thinking of the future consequences of his injuries (who can blame him?) and given the fact that his football career is likely over after college, I don't think he's as passionate about putting it all on the line for a game.
I've been in his position, obviously at a lower high school level. Once it really came down to it after my injury, I wasn't super excited about going into a game against a team with a great D with no offensive line, it made me play less passionate that I did before.
I think he's there.

You're right, Pinkel has been a terrible evaluator of qbs
He may be or he may not be. I don't know. All I'm saying is I'm not one to just blindly agree with Pinkel.
