I think USC knew. UGA had to have Smart sealed up prior to brooming Richt.
Say what you want about Richt and his performance at Georgia, but you don't get rid of that guy unless you've got someone you think is an improvement lined up.

Yeah, they probably did.
However, USC has had awhile to get out there and dig around. I'm surprised they are having a hard time.

Why?
If Odom wants to remain a DC, he'll be the DC here.
He's not gonna leave unless it's a HC job, and that would be because Mizzou dropped the ball.

Don't know man. The prospect of winning a title and being a part of that machine is pretty appealing.
Plus you can work under Saban and really increase your value as a future HC.
