There is zero chance Pinkel even seriously considers it, other than the usual protocol of having his agent listen. Why?

Here are the reasons:

1. Pinkel loves permanence. Look at his resume. He puts down roots and stays where he's at.

2. He is 61. That's a bit late in the game to be rebuilding a program, and make no mistake, despite Sarkisian returning them to respectability, they still need to be rebuilt.

3. Pinkel had the opportunity when younger to leave Mizzou to throw his hat into the ring for that job, and he didn't. What has changed? Mizzou has only gotten better.

4. Washington is a lesser job than Mizzou is. Better facilities, greater cashflow, and the future will only be brighter going forward with the SEC Network and Mizzou's success. Why would he downgrade?

5. At Mizzou, he will not only end up as the winningest coach by far when he retires, but he will likely be greatly honored by the university with something named after him and/or a statue. HCGP respects legacies and what it takes to build them. He will not abandon it.
