SEC Scheduling Question.

I understand why rivalry games would have set dates on a yearly basis, but does anyone know why the league seems to annually schedule the same teams during the same time of year?
We're always playing Georgia and SC early, Florida and Kentucky mid-season, then close with Vandy, Tennessee and Arkansas. Besides being boring as hell, it eliminates Florida, SC or Georgia from ever playing in the snow or Mizzou catching a warm weather site late in the season.
I assume it's to minimize potential weather variances. Does anyone know definitively?

I have no clue on official policy, but when we 1st came over posters here said repeatedly that UF and UGA would never play here late in the year.

If I had to take a guess, it’s all about money. I’m not poking at your schools attendance, but some of you complain about your poor attendance as it is. If you put UF or possibly UGA at missou late in the year and it’s snow every where you may not have very many opposing fans there in the cold.
Right or wrong, just my guess.
