The Hilton President is within walking/stumbling distance of the Power and Light.
LC's is my favorite BBQ joint in the KC area, but it isn't downtown. It's just a little south and west of Arrowhead Stadium. There's not much BBQ downtown outside of Jack Stack, and it just doesn't have the feel of a real BBQ joint like LC's.

There's Plowboys on Main and 11th now, its not bad. I think they have their main location in Blue Springs.

I am weighing going to the royals game. Would love to see the park, but also hate driving in an unfamiliar city if I have had anything to drink. Looks a bit far for uber. P maybe I am wrong.

If you're staying downtown its not very far at all to the stadium.

Staying at the ambassador. I am torn whether to go to the baseball game or go to power and light district to watch football too

Had another great trip The power light district has a ton of great places. Glad I stayed there. 
Only caveat is this airport is one of the worst I have ever been to.

The airport there is in the middle of no-where. The only good thing about it is that it's usually quick to get in and out of. Glad you had another good trip - KC is a great town! Let us know if you head to St Louis sometime, we can help you out there as well.

They are currently kicking around what to do with the airport here. I think in the end they will build a new one.
