I thought maybe, just maybe, we'd get an "also received votes" kind of mention. Are we at a point where we can go back to bitching about not getting any national respect? Which, sad as it is, is miles better than having no counter-argument.

I mean, we averaged 9 wins over the last 3 years.

Simmons and LSU didnt help too.

We'll have to go into next season with the "just win" mentality and not worry about rankings. It may take a while till we get there.

Interesting that Simmons is the comparison that everyone makes. I would compare MPJ coming to Mizzou more along the lines of when John Wall went to Kentucky.
That was Cal's first season, 2 other pros joined that team. Kentucky improved by 13 wins.

I dont agree with the simmons thing at all, but most people say that so I used that for right there.

Don't forget the players will be learning a new system and the coach isn't familiar with these players who averaged about 8 wins for the last 3 seasons.
