OK to bring them here for a rent-a-win, but Mizzou going there is brainless. What the frick are they thinking?

The whole "building the brand" rhetoric seems to not be in play here.

That Bama schedule is a joke, but they aren’t playing @Duke (or any of those other slugs for that matter)

The Arkansas thing really isn’t their fault. Michigan backed out of a home/home with them

Let's drop somebody for next year and get a home and home with UCF.

Yeah, not sure why we are scheduling UMass when UCF is begging for a P5 home/home

Other SEC schools are doing the same thing though. Mississippi St. played at Massachusetts 2 years ago.

Whew, I feel better now, just knowing my beloved University program has reached par with Miss State. All is well. WTF

Which is fine. I’m not one of the “play a tougher schedule” guys. Our schedule is tough enough.

I’m am a “don’t play fricking road games against mid majors” guy

Colorado has one winning season since 2006.

Here's a list of Mizzou's OOC home games over the next 5 years:

WVU
SEMO
TROY
Central Arkansas
Eastern Michigan
Louisiana
North Texas
Middle Tennessee
Kansas State

It's downright sad.

I think you meant sadly pathetic. While schedules are made multiple years in advance, it is still simply inexcusable and it appears the trend of cupcake games being scheduled is just getting worse, albeit expected when the admin is trying to react/fall in line with the fan acceptance of a much lowered bar of ultimate team projected performance.
Note: before pumpers jump on me, I know there are multiple factors involved in who and where you can schedule. With that said all I can say is "No Guts no (lost) Glory". Às some of yours' "Bigly President" would say - "So sad"

Lol, if only fan expectations were higher we’d have a schedule filled with nothing but top 25 teams just like well...nobody else does.

I’m sure that goofy shite sounded better in your head

It is becoming more and more difficult to lure G5 opponents to your stadium. Sure, they love the big payday but they want to host you at their place in return. Still, I'm surprised y'all don't go with two game at your place and one at theirs. A straight up swap isn't a great bargain.

Arkansas used to play a Sun Belt level team every year in Little Rock and we'd let them claim it as a "home" game so they got to count the fans for attendance. We still wore our home colors and collected all the money.

Colorado is a nice pickup. They've been improving and just missed a bowl game last year. If nothing else at least there is some history there between the two schools.

For some P5 schools it is a lose lose game to schedule Mizzou.

1. All P5 schools know we don’t travel well and it won’t be a big money making game. It would be better to schedule a easy win or team that has fans that will travel

2. We can beat/upset a blue blood school and it will make them look bad, but if they win it will be a game they should have won. Notre Dame was almost upset by Vandy this year, lose lose.

3. If they want a win/better game with more national coverage, or better attendance from a SEC school there is always UK, Arkansas, SC, MSU, or Ole Miss.

Mizzou should schedule a P5 game each year with a team in the Midwest:

1. Illinois
2. Kansas
3. Kansas State
4. Iowa
5. Iowa State

It will be a decent strength of schedule game, fans will be more likely to travel, and the games will have better national coverage.

It’s not just a admin scheduling issue.

yeah cause that's what he said. It's typed right there in your post. It's a lot easier to sound smart if you make up both sides of the argument, amIright?

Have you applied to fox news yet? You could have a great career, and they require like NO experience or education (see Sean Hannity)

So you agree with him that the schedule is made to mirror fan expectations? Lol...some goofy sons a bitches on this board.

He’s almost there though. We have to play these shite road games because our fans suck and won’t go to the games. That’s the only part fans play in all of this

Illinois is scheduled from like 2026-2029 and there's talk of extending that even more.

The Big issue with scheduling P5 teams right now is the Pac 12, Big 12, and Big 10 all play 9 conference games and most have an OOC rival.

Iowa and Iowa State for example play every year.

I think P5 and G5 should be separate leagues with seperate playoffs. As we have seen, it is impossible for a G5 to ever get in a playoff as it stands.

11 P5 games and 1 FCS game would be healthy for college football in my opinion. Or expand the playoff and bring the regular season back to 11 games, 10 P5 games and 1 FCS game.

sheesh y do I bother explaining this 2 u? Probably cause I am bored

My point is you like typing. Most of the time you don't even bother responding to what the other person said. You just make up some shite, put a 'so you' in front of it, and then argue that.

It's somewhat similar to when you just make up stats in a post and then argue that.

Now go upstairs. Your mother is calling you. She made a peanut butter sammich
