I agree with you 100%, he should still be gone at the end of the season. But it wouldn't shock me if they try and change the narrative to KA taking one for the team by coaching through an "unwinnable" situation, coupling that with the "but we're so young!" spin they currently have going to justify keeping him another year. It makes me sick just thinking about it.

Yes, it's time to clean the whole fricking house at this point.Problem is, what coach not in DII would want to fix it?
It looks bad right now but... a very solid basketball recruiting footprint, no great shortage of money, lots and lots of televised games... if I was a good up and coming coach, especially one with ties to the area, Missouri would be a really nice spot to land in.
After the KA mess and the sanctions you would have a grace period to rebuild the team. Show improvement beyond "we look terrible" and you can probably cool the critics for that first year or two. The SEC is up and down in basketball so a decent in conference season could give you another year of breathing space.
Three or four years in I think a good coach could put together a squad that at least gets into the NCAAs. A really good coach could build on that and start hitting outside Missouri and putting together a squad that could make a deep run in the tourney.

Many of the other Power 5 schools can offer lots of money and play on TV all the time too, so that's really not any advantage over other schools. They couldn't get anyone better than Haith back in 2011 when there was no black cloud hanging over the university. No coach from Delaware Tech or whatever DII school the next coach will come from will stand a chance in hell recruiting anyone good in state.

Doesn't matter who we get as a coach any good talent in Missouri leaves the state.KA should be gone as this isn't effecting his coaching and recruiting neither of which he can do. It will hurt us recruiting going forward. No one is going to want to come here and we are going to lose kids after the season is over.

Well hell... I don't know what to say to you guys here. Yeah, it happens in major sports programs. UNC managing to ninja their way out of not getting a death penalty so far is the most glaring example of the haves playing with different rules then the have nots.
Still this sucks for the program. There is a decent, and unfair, chance that the NCAA drops the hammer on Mizzou so that when they give UNC a wink and nod they have some cover. Short term this is going to be a bite in the butt.
Long term... well y'all were going to clean house anyway. This just gives you one more reason to do so. Probably going to mean another year or two of wandering in the desert but the state of Missouri produces enough basketball talent that a competent recruiter can build a very solid program.

Frank Haith is a piece of work. When is the NCAA going to realize that as a repeat offender maybe he should be penalized?

You have to think he's flirting with a show cause at this point.
Has Kim English weighed in on this mess?
