Who made the better hire, considering who they are, where their programs are at, and who they hired?

Are you wanting to compare Crews to KA?

Personally think that if KA had inherited the roster that Crews did at SLU or Haith did at Mizzou he would have been successful long enough for him to figure out recruiting at the D1 level. KA wasn't ready to build a program from scratch from a recruiting standpoint.

We just beat them in baseball...so there!

I wish we would play them in hoops. My wife was a cheerleader there.

Crews and KA started off with COMPLETELY OPPOSITE rosters.

One had a sweet sixteen caliber roster, the other way more messed about than anyone knew.

Or are we talking KA/Ford?

Then I'd say its a push

Even though he was just fired Ford is a way more proven coach than KA. Personally I think Mizzou will be able to land a better coach than Ford next year.

KA and Ford.

Given that they're SLU I think it was a much better hire. Whether I'd rather have Ford or KA at Mizzou is another good question. I just think for who they are they did a much better job than Mizzou did for who they are as a program. Maybe the real question then is does that make SLUs AD better than Alden?

As a basketball AD Alden got worse the longer he was here. Almost all other sports got better under his watch. As did facilities.
