very disappointing year, completely under achieving season. Way too much talent on this roster for that to happened. Only further builds on Haith's reputation of not being able to win in the clutch and being a poor game manager. Hope this makes the team hungry all offseason and work hard to change things for next year. (same optimistic hope as the football team!)

Also, does the team or the coaching staff never notice when we have a post player scoring well down low? 2nd game in a row AO scoring the ball, opposing post players in foul trouble, and we never run any post up plays for him. I just cant think of a reason why we do that.

I really didn't watch the 2nd half. Best decision I've made in a while.

3rd season in a row mizzou basketball goes out with a whimper. Just no energy last night, and that is really disappointing. I know CSU is a great rebounding team, but losing the boards 42-19 is all effort and there is no excuse for that. No emotion or leadership all night last night which was shocking. Surprised the 3 seniors were willing to just roll over and let their careers end.

Really need to improve defensively next year if we want to win many significant games. Also we wont have the offensive post presence so we will have to actually play D to make up for the boards and post points. I'm a little nervous for where this program is headed because I'm really not impressed with CFH in game coaching. But as a missouri fan i'm sure in a few days I will be optimistic again, over all the trash talk from friends, and ready for more!

Again, I agree with everything you said. I just posted on the rant how we once again had a big man in foul trouble in the first half, he stays in the game and we do them a favor by not continuing to feed the ball down low. I don't fricking get it and apparently you and I aren't the only ones. I don't know if anyone caught it but as they were going to a timeout at one point, after we stopped going down low, you could hear a fan clearly yell "Get Oriakhi the god damned ball".

As to making them hungry for next year? Doubt it. Doubt it with football either. Could have been saying that about both teams every year that I've been alive and it never happened, so I doubt it happens this time either. Some programs just are what they are. We'll get to watch some good games with the bad, but I don't expect any miraculous turnaround with either winning anything.

I put that on Haith. Saw it too many times this year.

They are a great rebounding team because of what you said...effort. Heart and effort. They weren't huge. They worked hard. Mizzou....not so much and again, part of that blame has to be on Haith for not instilling it.

I thought AO played fairly hard. Bell didn't have a choice as he was benched. Bowers? No explanation.

I agree with you Reedus on the motivation/hunger for next year probably not being much of a factor. Maybe for some guys but your right it usually doesn't seem to make a difference. Maybe I just said it to make myself feel better! haha

and all the sports writers are talking about Pressey and whether he will go to the draft or not. Is this a real issue? anyone have any ideas on if he really might go.
To me his stock is lower now than last year at this time. He was a defensive liability all year and did not shoot the ball at a near high enough %. Gotta think his draftability is fairly low and he will come back.

I actually think Flip is a great PG and could play in the NBA, hopefully after an improved season in Columbia next year. Think this season might have been a bit of a reality check. Plus he is the type of player who is really affected by having new teammates around him.

I haven't looked recently. Last time I did, he was projected as either not getting drafted or mid to late 2nd round. He's had several poor performances and many good ones since but I agree, he's pretty much one dimensional with his passing. Can't defend and can't shoot. If I were him, I'd talk to Bowers about what he did last season to improve his shot and then do the same thing all off season.

I agree that he could benefit from another year of college play and be a higher draft pick afterward.
