Apparently EE treats every inning as a game and they get an extra "cardio" day if they lose an inning. Team won 55 of 56 innings this fall, more than any other team. Competition is horrible but a good way to keep the focus against crap teams.
SS is between Gadbois (doubtful from the way he talked), Fagain and freshman(woman???) Nelson. Fagan is the likely choice. Nelson was a highly coveted recruit out of Arky who decommitted from them before committing to Mizzou.
3rd has Pierce leading the pack. From his words, I suspect Sanchez will move from 3rd to either 1B or DP. Rathburn is likely to play whichever Sanchez doesn't.
Besides Pierce and Nelson, Nash has stood out as a freshman who might vie for time. He's also impressed with Baumgartner on the mound, which would be huge to have that 3rd pitcher that can throw innings and give the other 2 some rest and be there lord forbid we're short a pitcher again at the end of the year like the last 2.

Baxter was a descent 3rd pitcher last year. She could combine with Baumgartner to pitch almost all the midweek games.

From the sounds of it, Baumgartner is better. But I agree, Baxter came on particularly towards the end of the season with some big innings. And she will be a solid #4 and a #4 that will be used a lot.
I'm kind of excited to see some of the youngsters and to see how Lowary and Finucane do. Finucane was so lights out 2 years ago. Would love to see her get that back again. But by all accounts, Lowary has passed her.
