And Reedus, I appreciate the vote of confidence, but everyone else who signed up should get the same opportunity to share their knowledge.

Will do. Really was good stuff though.

SEMO very well written! If I had to guess I would think you were a journalism major as well lol. Hopefully the players are not over looking this game. But we have a running game going for us this year which is different in years past. Before if the passing game faltered the team looked lost. Now if Franklin and/or the WR's have trouble getting in a rhythm we have 3 running backs we can hand the ball to and pound out some yards and regroup.

Thanks! I love writing, and doing the research for little "articles" like this. I think it's fun.

And you're right about how we've been in the past compared to this year. We are very balanced, and if a defense tries to take away the pass, the run can take over the game - unlike years past. In reading up on ASU, I couldn't get a good sense of their defensive strengths. They allowed more rushing yards than passing except for the game against Troy - where they were torched for 504 yards through the air. But at the same time, the DL Carrethers and LB Lee seems to be their best defensive players, which would say they're better against the run.

So, I wouldn't be surprised to see us put up a lot of yards, either on the ground, through the air or both. They're going to have to pick their poison, and unless we fall apart, I don't see it ending well for them.

I'm using your preview as the basis for my score prediction in the TB pickem' contest.

So, you're analysis had better be on point, as I'm currently in 6th place and trying to overtake Mizzeaux, who is currently ahead of me in the standings.

I won't stand for your analysis being wrong. There are things bigger than you can ever imagine at stake here.

As of right now Mizzou is averaging 270 rushing yards per game and 297 pass yards a game. I like that balance of 567 yards a game.

I didn't find a think that said we shouldn't beat or top our average.

Please do not pull an Aggy and lose to those chodes. If I am not mistaken they have never beaten an SEC team, do not be their first Mizzou...

I sure as hell hope we don't. Keep the little brothers of SEC teams down.

Matter says they beat Texas A&M a few years back. I think Hugh Freeze was their coach then.

But, if we focus and treat this game as a last warm-up before we start conference play, we should take care of business. By the middle of the 3rd quarter, they will be tired, and we will put it away.

Final Score - Mizzou 49-ASU 17.

So, they didn't really focus, and we really didn't take care of business - until later in the game. But, we did put it away, and end up with a respectable score of 41-19. I wasn't TOO far off, but definitely didn't hit it.

This week - Vandy. Mizzeaux, you're up!!

Thanks to your insight, Mizzeaux and I are now tied in the TB prediction contest.

Obviously, next weeks preview from Mizzeaux will be subterfuge, serving only to try and lead me astray.
