I hate this shite! Why can't Mizzou athletics operate for an extended period of time without some sort of scandal?
Should I declare allegiance to another school?
Should I declare allegiance to another school?

This confirms my impression of CMA and lowers my opinion of Kimmie immensely.
He had to know about this 2010 situation.

Well, as I'm calming down a little...we only know one side, nothing from Dixon's perspective. It sounds very damning, but there are always 2 sides of any story. Dixon has the right to appeal, and to defend himself. And it might not be smart to kick him off the team while the appeal is pending.
I'm not defending him - and I still think the 2012 charge was BS. And here is a question - was a complaint pursued with Mizzou back in 2010, and did he go before that board over the alleged rape? Or was it for academic issues, as has been reported? The article didn't say. If he went before that board in 2010 and they didn't expel him then, and if the 2012 incident isn't credible, what will Deaton do?
I'm inclined to think he's gone. But not over the 2012 issue alone.

I was wondering the same thing myself....just don't know who would deserve us!

It's fricking embarrassing that Haith let him sit on the bench and go to Atlantis now that all this shite has come out.

The issue from his sophomore year used almost identical wording in the Mizzou press release. When Fiji posted the press release from the previous incident, I said,"Uh oh. Not good."
It stressed that it wasn't a "legal issue" but was a "violation of team rules."
+%!¥^€~
Violation of team rules, my arse. Violation of the rules of civilization. Frick him.

I blame MS2 for this, if he only hadn't started that damn Final Four thread...

Semo, as strong as I think this last incident is bull shite, I am just as strong that he needs to be gone after finding out about the first alleged rape. There is too much smoke. It's just not a chance the school can take. Get rid of him.
I'll have to read the article again, but I had the impression it wasn't reported to the school. That MA claimed he could only do something if she prosecuted or filed a complaint. I could be way wrong.
Either way, he has to go. Can you imagine the shite storm if it comes out he allegedly raped someone in Atlantis or we keep him and another incident pops up some where.
Stick with your initial reaction and gut instinct. He has to go and frankly, the only thing stopping the first prosecution is the lady choosing not to want to pursue it. I had the impression it wasn't the DA's or the PD's choice to not pursue it in that instance. Hell, even after she said she doesn't want to go forward, they thought there was enough that they recommended that the case stay open.

One cannot leave this board for a couple hours without missing something Good, Bad or Ugly!
Good...I missed pics of SoCal and earlier missed Breakaway.
Bad...three hours ago I was defending Dixon in what appeared to be an accusation from a gal who was chasing him and got a case of remorse after his attentiveness waned.
Ugly....Dixon has a history of sexual assault and only dodged charges because the lady feared for her safety and reputation. Seriously, don't think the program or school has any backlash from first incident. Anderson did suggest she press charges, I would be willing to guess the lady did not want attention drawn to the matter, that disciplinary sanctions on Dixon would have generated. But it is going to be a black eye any way it unfolds from here.
And, yes, I strongly believe Kimmie would have known about 2010 incident. That's a disappointment, considering his public outcry in defense of Dixon.

I still think that's the case. Regardless though, gotta go.

Yes, 2012 incident is clearly muddy, and should not be a hanging offense; but if I had been aware of earlier incident, I would never have defended him.

I know. I'm honestly feeling a little sick right now. Just completely disgusted. And it wouldn't surprise me a bit to have more girls come out of the woodwork.

Can't feel bad about that Bogie. We can only comment on what we know. And I don't think anything said was wrong at the time.

Considering who The Suitcase replaced, and that whole mess, you'd think he would have been intolerant of any sort of negative behavior. Instead he told the first victim he couldn't do anything unless she pressed charges, and then the school told her she should find employment elsewhere so she "wouldn't have to be around Dixon" .
This seems bad to me. Say what you will, but sexual assault is nothing to scoff at. Dixon should have been kicked off the team, no brainer.
