Agreed. I'm not too worried about it. Mauk can play well enough to win us games. Is Lock a batter option? Yes, I think so but I don't see Maty holding us back.
I'm way more concerned with how shitty the OL looked and despite having 27 scholarship RBs we only have one that is worth a damn. How does that even happen?

Mauk played a very smart game yesterday. His one interception was a third and long where they would have punted anyway, no problem with him taking a deep shot there. I was encouraged by his lack of stupid decisions.
Excited about Lock, but it seems obvious that he would make a lot more mistakes right now than Mauk. We have seen 3 series of Lock against an FCS opponent. Relax on the Lock, nice to have him in the bullpen for now in case Matty gets hurt.

Another that I forgot about in addition to the 2 dropped TD's. Had a TD called back because Culkin barely stepped out of the back of the endzone before making the catch. I don't know if one of the other TD's followed that play but was another solid throw.

The problem with that play wasn't really the bail to the sideline and throw it up for grabs that is a Mauk staple, but he missed a wide open WR streaking across the middle and bailed the pocket before he had to.

100% disagree with this assessment.
