Memps is a shithole other than Beale Street. My opinion. Regardless, I'm excited. They have good food. There's that.

The Liberty Bowl is right next to an area called Orange Mound. Take East St. Louis and North St. Louis and times that by 10.

Beale Street,Main Street which is the Trolley cars, and 2nd street by AutoZone park are the places to be.

Don't get me wrong...I'd be excited to go to Memps for a bowl game. However, Memps is a giant shithole other than a couple of spots.

Beale Street ain't much safer than Orange Mound. Don't stray more than a block in the wrong direction.

Sounds like an ideal situation for a bunch of drunk college kids.

No doubt. You ain't having fun unless the night ends with a shotgun being pulled on ya.

In all seriousness, I never felt like the Orange Mound or Beale Street were as bad as North County or East St. Louis so given where our team is at, I like the idea of a bowl in Memphis.

North County...I assume you're talking about Florissant? Florissant isn't a bad area, unless you're racist and believe that all minorities make a place terrible.

Far from it my friend. Should have said North St. Louis as that is how it was referenced up thread. Why would you suggest I'm racist Killz? I have plenty of friends from Florissant, some black though a majority white. I have had to do plenty of work in the northern part of St. Louis City and the part of North County immediately attached to it and no, I would not let my daughter walk down the street there day or night. Maybe saying north county was using too broad of a brush.

I'm not calling you a racist. I thought you were talking about Florissant because that is technically in North County and it isn't a bad place. Therefore, I had to assume that you considered Florissant terrible for one particular reason.

However, now that I know that we were on two different pages, take back what I said.

Carry on.

Killz. Florissant, Bridgeton Hazelwood and what not are all good areas. Like I said, tons of friends from there.

Please, football Gods who hath forsaken us this year, let this happen.

My best friend since I was in kindergarten in Columbia MO and for whom I'm now Godfather to his child lives in Memphis and would go absolutely apeshit if Mizzou came to his town. My crew will be out in force causing mass controversy on Beale Street for this game if given the chance. I've done New Year's Eve on Beale twice already and it is a ton of fun. Hurricanes at Silky O'Sullivan's + making out with strangers = winning.

Sounds like fodder for Tiger Tales. I hope everyone on here gets to Memphis.

Had a shotgun pulled on me at Silky's. Thank god the only harm done was the cuts and scrapes from me diving behind a car.

A couple of blocks off of Beale Street is not bad. Now do not get in one of those pimped out horse drawn carriages. There are about 20 of them down there and they WILL take you off the beatin path and see some things.
