Quick question - why is Kentucky getting such high praise after their win against UL Monroe last week? Looks like they haven’t won their last 11 games and have a brand new coach/scheme.

Also, looking at their schedule last year, they got absolutely TROUNCED by awful programs.

While Mizzou’s win didn’t get the style points you would like to see, CMU’s QB was a top-150 player and their young RB was predicted to make some noise this season.

The lines not getting any push on OL/DL is a little concerning, but hopefully we can put a bandaid on that schematically.

In short, everything’s going to be okay. Should be a great game, but am baffled the media is acting like UK is the second coming after a convincing win against a painfully terrible program.

Bc they made a bad team look bad and we made an OK team look better than we should have.

We were only roughly13 point favorites over CMU, though. They would likely beat the bottom 2 or 3 SEC teams.

UL Monroe literally loses every game by like 30+ to very small, terrible schools.

In short, Kentucky has zero idea what they have. Mizzou would have beaten them by a similar score.

It just cracks me up how up in arms everyone is. It makes us look very stupid. I would rather underperform and win against a respectable team than destroy SEMO and have no idea where you are at lol

Because after years of fielding complete stiffs at quarterback they may finally have one in Will Levis.

If he is so amazing then why did he have to transfer. He also threw a pick against that shite team they played last week.

I'm not saying we win because a Drink team has yet to look good on the road but I wouldn't be surprised if Mizzou pulls of the "upset" and looks good while doing it.

just follow Drink's lead and play dead until your prey is within striking distance.

The one thing I never discount is Jim McElwain coached teams. I know he wasn't there on the sidelines but he always puts out a good team. And I have a feeling that CMU squad will do very well this year.

As far as Kentucky, this team is different than probably any Wildcat team we've faced, probably ever. Now they have a passing game.

I have the score 24-27 Wildcats winning on the last possession.

I agree I also believe that with Mcelwain not being there lit a fire under their asses as well. I'm curious to see how Central Michigan does against LSU in a couple weeks

Did he torch defenses last year or does he just have a one game sample size against one of the worst teams in the country?

Looks like he was a 3-star QB that transferred away due to playing time and the QB that has started the last two years has been regressing from 2019 season to 2020.

Bazelak probably would have thrown for 300-400+ and 4 TD’s against that team.

I’m just not ready to say Levis is a great QB just yet. Would much rather win like we did against a formidable opponent than beat a team like that by 30-40 points. Every QB had a big game against them last season.

Personally don’t care what UK did in there first game. My concern comes from what I saw in Mizzous first game

I'm not calling Levis great, but he can't be any worse than the bums they've been trotting out there.

Mizzou beat them at their own game last year dominating them physically and with what I saw vs. Central Michigan Drink is going to have to find another path to victory. I hope he can do it but I have my doubts since I see us as undermanned.

I think we surprise some folks tomorrow. I imagine Drink has the boys ready to go and ready to play some smash mouth football.
