I think that will be a MUCH better situation for Blaine. He was just in over his head in Jacksonville. He needed to be an understudy to a vet for a year or two. I hope this will be a good thing for him. As a former Tiger, I wish all the best for Blaine.

BG will never be a starter again. He's got a great arm but he's not a QB. He'll make a helluva living and enjoy life regardless though.

I don't know that anyone could have succeeded in Jacksonville.

I don't know what kind of future he has, but it's a good sign that San Fran was willing to give up something to get him (even if it was just a sixth).

Worst case scenario for him, I would love to spend several years collecting a check as a backup NFL QB.

Blaine can't take a hit. Jacksonville is possibly the worst team for him to be on. Given a good line where he could settle in and calm his nerves, he may be able to get better.

I'm not even sure he'll be on a roster after this year.

You may be right but I think he'll be somewhere because he's 6'4" and has a strong arm. He also looks great if you're throwing a football around in a gym. He just won't start because he's not a QB.

Blaine being drafted where he was reminds me of Tim Couch going #1 overall when he got drafted.

It was not Blaine's fault his talent was incorrectly evaluated. He can learn the SF system and be used when necessary.
