Pioneer I have a off topic question.

In 1994 my last year of legion ball we played against Batesville. They had the best pitcher I played against in high school or college.

Do you know who I am talking about?

Give me a bit.

I believe during that time we were state champs for 3 years.

We have a very good baseball program.

Right off top of my head, dan wright?
He pitched for the cubs for a few years.

Thanks. I asked a guy I know from Southside, but he didn’t know. I am not surprised he made it to the majors. He was really good at changing the hitters eye level.

He started with a high fastball in the 90’s on almost every hitter. Then he would throw up and down in the zone and sometimes work in another high fastball. Didn’t really throw off speed pitches he just had good control with heat.

We had 7 or 8 players play college ball and 2 played D-1. He made us all look bad at some point.
