What fricking coach gets the benefit of the doubt when you start the season 0-4 in conference every year?
So he was doing a lot better than last year but maybe next year he will break through? If not then that is when he will be fired. Not this year if he goes 7-5 or 8-4.

Even the most impatient fans weren't expecting a NC in year 3. But most would like to simply see some progress each year: A win or two against decent teams, an extra W each year, some recruits that are very promising, solid X & Os coaching...all of which would lead to increasing fan interest and support.
Well, if I can translate Lefty's Pidgin English, I think he sees progress. Don't know many that agree.
If Barry wins out with some strong showings (Beating Arkie doesn't count), I still don't think fans will return in droves. The excitement scale is still hovering way in the red.
