Thanks for allowing me on your board
I'm curious to hear y'alls take on the game this weekend. Outside of LSU, I haven't seen a defense contain Johnny and stop our offense the way y'all did last week. I think y'alls D Line is one of the best in the nation, and should be able to contain Auburn's running attack.
Anyways, should be a great game! Thanks again for letting me join

Welcome aboard, Houston!
I imagine it was quite the confidence booster for our defense to contain Johnny last week. Last year's defensive capitulation was seared in the minds of us Mizzou fans. We hadn't been jumped that bad in a game since Nebraska in 2010 and Texas in 2008.
So... the GAME: We need to win the turnover battle, especially if we start slow. Auburn is a very good team, with an effective, unconventional attack (hopefully not shades of Navy), so Mizzou needs to play fundamentally sound and physical.
Fortunately, this year's Mizzou team has been steady as a rock so I don't foresee a lopsided game, no matter what. Our lines are our strength, coupled with dynamic offensive weapons in Josey, DGB, etc, and we have a dangerous squad.
One last note: I hope special teams play isn't the difference. Baggett's struggled are well known, but Murphy on punt returns has been scary as well. We need mistake-free football out of them this Saturday.
Cheers Aggie

Welcome Houston.
It's kind of strange how no matter how I look at this game, these 2 teams are so evenly matched but yet so 2 completely different types of teams. The only real advantage I give Mizzou is we are a more balanced team. Our strength has been stopping the run. Their strength is running. Our weakness is against the pass. They don't throw. Hopefully the balanced approach on offense gives Mizzou the edge. Should be a good game.

Agree 100%
I think both teams have dynamic offenses, but Mizzou's defense seems to be more dominant in my opinion. I see y'all taking this one, and who knows, with a little luck maybe you can sneak your way to #2 and rep the SEC this year in Pasadena

I could really use a trip to L.A.

Me too amigo. Got family out there that I've been itching to see. Pasadena would be an additional incentive.
