Here is my Private Message to the Admins on Tiger Board (doing my best to make friends) following the deletion of one of my threads:
How is the thread "JAMES FRANKLIN SUPERMAN NECKLACE" remotely uncivil behavior?
An article posted in the Columbia Missourian quoted James Franklin as saying that the supersized Superman necklace he wears is to symbolize his black father and white mother's union.
Here's the article - look at the picture:
LINK
My thread wasn't racist. I didn't say anything racist. I just simply reposted what James Franklin himself said. And to be honest, there are MU fans who wondered why he wore a large superman necklace during the A&M game when he didn't even play. Seemed odd...borderline insulting to Mizzou nation.
Why can James Franklin talk candidly to a reporter about what the necklace symbolizes but I can't mention it on a message board?
There's nothing racist about this...unless you're implying that James Franklin and the Columbia Missourian are both racist. I know that's not the case.

Maybe posting that every five minutes will get action

Is that the thread that said White Mom + Black Dad? That is most likely the problem. I saw the thread but didnt see who wrote it.

The next post should be # Free the Zou Animal Tigerboard if you don't want to appear insensitive to minorities

I never go to tb I can't stand the format. You guys should just go drop in a link to the MIZZOU page of the rant in random threads.

Yep. It didn't last long. They're an interesting bunch over there.

Tigerboard is our version of Hogville... but with a far inferior format.

WTF.

There was nothing racist about repeating what James Superman Franklin himself said to a reporter.
He said that the superman necklace represented his "black father and white mother". His words.
How is that possibly racist.
I shortened to:
Black father + white mother = Superman?
How is that racist?

It's not. But for someone who hadn't read it, that could be a controversial statement. And their mods not very tolerant.

Update from Admins:
"Include the link to the story next time. You came off as racist (to people who don't know the definition of the word) in your post."
My response to Admins:
"Well, I'm not a racist. If James Franklin says, "My Superman necklace represents my black father and white mother," and I post, "James Franklin says superman necklace represents the union of his black father and white mother. Black father + white mother = Superman," how am I a racist and he not?
James Franklin made it a story. Not I.
Perhaps Tiger Board posters are too sensitive? SECrant posters see both the humor and odd nature of this story without jumping to charges of racism.
There's nothing racist about notifying people of the truth behind the infamous superman necklace when the owner of said necklace indicates that he wears said necklace to represent the union of his "black father and white mother".
I call bullshite on the racism charge."

Well, after that response, can you blame them?

Yeah...I clearly don't care anyhow. I'm just messing with that board.
Compared to any other board out there, I love the SECrant. It's not too serious over there.
I just got another Scarlett Letter for the JAMES SUPERMAN FRANKLIN thread. Somehow it's racist that I mention what he said, but it isn't racist that he said it in the first place.
Bunch of sensitive douchebags over there.
How can y'all stand it!
