Probably don’t mean a lot to most posters, but Webb City’s coach is retiring.

John Roderique is ranked by MaxPreps as the 35th best high school coach of all time. He has a winning percentage of 90% going 315 and 35. He is 1 of 5 coaches in the history of high school football to have a winning percentage of 90%. He has 13 State Championship’s and 8 of those came between 2010 to 2021. He had 3 teams ranked in the top 100 in the country.

Rumor’s are that Coach Bailey or Coach McFarland will be the new coach. Coach Bailey led Lamar to there 1st 7 State Championship’s. Quit coaching at Lamar has been one the assistant coaches for the past 3 or 4 years. Coach McFarland quit coaching at Seneca High School and has been one of the assistant coaches for 3 or 4 years.

He is only 56 and has only coached for 26 years. I think he will probably be coaching somewhere after a few years off.
