I am new as well. Also a long time lurker so I know the deal. From what I have seen you guys are pretty cool around here. Hope to talk about SEC football for years to come with tRant.

Greetings from St. Louis. I have never been anywhere close to Maine. What is it like up there besides cold? Are the people nice? Obviously it has to be more friendly than here.

I'm from St. Louis, not trying to knock my city it has just been pretty bad recently.

Maine is one of my favorite vacation places. It's absolutely beautiful, fantastic seafood.

Not an alter. I was born and raised in STL and went to Mizzou for undergrad, but moved to Portland, Maine for grad school (physical therapy). Maine is much different than STL. the people are great for the most part. The skiing is solid and cheap. In the summer you can get a 1 lb. lobster for $3.99 most days at the fish market. It does get freezing up here from Nov-April, but it is tolerable. The only major downside is no one gives a frick about SEC football or really college football at all. It's all Pats fans up here...Plus filthy Red Sox fans.
