Gary Pinkel is lost

Obviously must be more concerned about off the field issues because no coach in his right mind would have Franklin as the starting QB. Berkstresser might be worse right now, but Franklin has lost the "it" factor needed to play the QB position. Yet Gary Pinkel continues to feed us this crap that he gives us the best opportunity to win. Any coach concerned about the future of the team would have yanked Franklin and burned the red shirt on Matty Mauk even if he is a red-shirt freshman. If this doesn't seem logical then why hasn't he decided to at least make Franklin what he is which is a game manager and nothing more and feed Kendial L. the ball 30 times a game. Lawerence has preformed well when given enough opportunities. The defense plays the game of the season today and still loses because the offense can't move the ball and score points

Yeah, yank Matys' red shirt for 3 games in a lost season. Idiot.

I am seriously wondering who you think will magically come in during the middle of the season that will be a savior. Dude chill. We are what we are at this point. There are two decently winnable games on the schedule left. Take your shot and see what happens. Its asinine to even bring up burning Maty's RS.

I didn't say do it now, I said he should have done it 4 or five games ago, we should have continued to lean on K. Lawerence because he has shown the ability to run the ball well

James Franklin and Derrick Rose both have the SAME injury, ACL injury. Rose is not coming back until next year for the Bulls, Franklin came back THIS season and taking hits from 200+ pound guys. Give Franklin some credit, not much he can do recovering from ACL injury.

He had an mcl, big difference. He is still our best option this year, which is sickening.

Ya keep giving it to Lawrence when he averaged less than 2 ypc today on 18 attempts. Franklin gives us the best chance to win now and that's all that matters.
The staff knows how to handle qbs. If they thought Mauk could play now and be better than Berk then he would be playing.

Franklin didn't have an ACL injury

Pardon his mistake, Hatinit. Bayou is too busy taking his potshots at Mizzou on the rant.

I agree with you UR and that's what is so frustrating and sickening about it because Franklin is not very good. I am not for burning a redshirt either but for my sanity I hope Mauk or someone proves to be the man next year because if Franklin supposedly still gives us the best chance to win next year that means that the offense will be putrid again and the team will likely finish 6-6, maybe 7-5 because of the easier schedule.

I like James Franklin as a person, but man he missed way too many throws today for him to be the best option at QB. I'm willing to give him another chance against Tennessee because he will get the full week of practice and he deserves another chance

I don't know James Franklin so I have no idea. Seems ok as a guy. As far as chances, he's going to have 3 more chances because he's starting the rest of the season. And yes I said 3. Not seeing any bowl games here.

If James Franklin shows up to play we will beat Tennessee and Syracuse, Neyland won't be that daunting with only 55,000 fans. We can beat Texas A&M too. I see at least 2 wins still so we will be bowling this season it will just be in the Independence Bowl again

Aside from the ints, the offense had a rythym that we haven't had all year long. This is one of the top 2 or 3 defenses in the country and we marched down the field numerous times.
Franklin should get his confidence back after watching film of the Vols defense.

First of all....are'nt you suppose to be in Bama land?
I'm proud of this team! They went in to the Swamp, elevated thier play and showed they can play with a top team in the country in thier backyard. Thats something.
I agree Franklin had a crap game, the lack of practice, the injuries all add up. But damn, this is the first game the O-line showed up to play and played well. The defense with the exception of a couple plays played lights out. Florida is'nt ranked in the top ten for nothing. I know it's not a win, but it was a big step.....in the right direction. It's a loss they can build on.
Berk is not the answer. Franklin is thier only option at this point. I was just as upset as everyone else here about the INT's. But this happens with lack of practice. You don't see the field well, the game is faster. Maybe with any luck, Franklin can get some timing back. I think Tennessee is very winnable game.

We will be bowling for an eight straight season it will be in the Independence bowl again... I'm thinking about making my reservations already and they should rename this the Mizzou Bowl

Neither of our QBs are healthy or 100%. I don't think Berkstresser would have played any better than Franklin today.
