No, your D is not very good.

We nearly put up 500 yards on you.

It's not to the caliber of defense we will see in the SEC. You can choose to believe me or not, but it's the truth.

Good game. See ya. You added nothing pregame and came in to troll after the fact. Best of luck to your team.

btw - Our offense averaged about 200 ypg last year. We put up nearly 500 yards against your D. So no...your D is not very good. I will give ya credit for your O but outside of Deleware State, you probably have the worst D we'll face all year.

You do know that a nice chunk of your yards and your only TD came against our backups, right?

If we're the worst defense you face all year, and you got 3 points... man, you guys are in trouble.

We are possibly in trouble, but you still don't have a very good defense.

What other school in Little Rock plays at War Memorial Stadium? Why do you play there every year? To appease all the alumni there? Do you play TCU at home?

I stated well before the season I did not like playing West Virginia in Week One. Would much rather have a couple of warmup games first. I don't know why Alden agreed to that. I thought the team would put forth a much better effort.

Mostly high school teams, state championships and that sort of thing. Arkansas State would like to play there but they don't have fan base to fill it up (which is not an insult to Arkansas State since we are starting to have trouble filling the stadium). UA Little Rock has hinted they would like to start up a football program and play in the Sun Belt so the stadium might get a regular tenant eventually.

As to why we play at War Memorial in all honesty it wasn't that long ago that just getting to Fayetteville was a giant pain in the behind. Most of the population of the state was in the South East and Central area so playing all of our big games there made more sense. Not to mention that until recently it was our main source of recruits.

Now... well Little Rock has really declined in churning out football players and the state's population (and money, NWA is like a completely different state when it comes to wealth) has shifted in a big way to NW Arkansas along with the new highway making it an easy drive up here. That having been said there are a ton of important alumni in Little Rock who have dug in their heels to keep games at War Memorial. They will probably lose out because we make a lot more money having the games up here then we do down there.

We get TCU on the road at their place. Even though they looked really shaky against South Dakota State going into their stadium early in the season... going to be a tough one. We need to at least split our games with TCU and A&M though, recruiting Texas is vital for us.

SEMO has a small fanbase, but they still somehow got a game in Busch Stadium a few years ago. Was is the capacity of War Memorial Stadium? What is the attendance for the high school games? Would you like to see Arkansas Little Rock start football? Wasn't there always the interstate connecting Little Rock to Fayetteville? What time and channel is the TCU game?

I think Arkansas State has played in Little Rock, they just can't get it on a regular basis. It seats about 54 thousand which is quite a bit lower then RRS does here on campus. For a long time it was the biggest stadium in the state but RRS passed it by and hasn't looked back.

I can't say how many turn out for high school football games there but I imagine the number isn't extremely high except for the championship games. Little Rock has turned into a basketball town.

As for UALR I'd love to see them with a football team if they can afford one. The problem is that Arkansas is not a big state in terms of population and along with Arkansas and Arkansas State we have a horde of smaller colleges that also play football. I am not sure the numbers are there to support UALR football, especially not with UCA (Central Arkansas), an established FCS team just down the road in Conway.

Yes but it was... an interesting drive. Lets just say that there was little need for roller coasters in NW Arkansas with the old interstate and the Pigtrail. Now its a nice comfortable drive... as long as you don't get freaked out by very tall bridges.

I am not sure right now on the particulars. I imagine it will get a good spot on TV since it is two rival conferences playing. If we establish the run and milk the clock we have a good shot, if we try to get into a slinging match with them we could be in trouble. We have a ton of talent at the wideout position but our passing defense looked horrible again last week.
