Amend earlier tweet. Pinkel said Frankin is out "a few weeks." Later clarified, he'll definitely miss next week's game against Alabama

Semo said something earlier. Has it been confirmed?

The one thing something definitive like this means is that Berk will get a full week on first team and they can gameplan around his strengths.

That is the only positive in the situation. Hopefully that gameplan will include getting some extra blockers in the backfield to try and save him from Bama's OLBs. We can dream, I suppose.

If that's true, maybe the two weeks off will do wonders to Franklin's nagging injury.

My roommate is a journalism student and he said one of his friends doing interviews said that Pinkel made a comment about Mauk possibly being used. I believe it was along the lines of he won't be used next week but nothing is definite at this point. Mauk and Alex Demczak (walk on QB used for scout offense against starting D and one of my good friends) were both warming up on the sideline all game. Looks like there is lots of uncertainty right now and there probably should be. I'm trying to to find a source about Mauk.

Pinkel said they never considered playing Maty Mauk tonight, but will discuss his future tomorrow.
