Seen a ton of talk regarding Jeff Thomas lately so I thought I would bring up a few other guys. Don't know where we stand with him but this is the kind of kid who we should have in the bag. 5* DE AJ Epenesa from Edwardsville, IL which shows as less than three hours from COMO. It looks like we have two early 4* kids in the Kansas City area in DE Chester Graves and CB Djimon Colbert

Really surprised we haven't offered Colbert yet.

Seems like we are in good shape early with Thomas and Epenesa (Iowa legacy though)

With just those 4 guys and 15 3* players we'll be a top 10 class for 2017.

It seems like with the amount of offers going out that 2017 could be a banner year for recruiting by far.

Interesting note. Colbert is one of the kids that Thomas was routinely leaving in the dust in those highlight videos. I say that not to down Colbert, because he appears to be a stud, but to give Thomas his props.

Espenesa is essentially STL. Edwardsville isn't ESL but it's not much further from STL. I know his dad went to Iowa, but I don't get the sense that he'll be tied down to Iowa. Just the opposite. He'll be one of those national signing day commits to whoever he picks. Thomas probably also. We won't know anything about either until then.

Just a quick look shows Espenesa as the #2 player (not DE, player) in the nation.

AJ's dad has coached him all his life. When you're that kind of dad you only consider handing your son off to a top notch coach. He's also played division 1 ball himself so he's going to go more substance than flash and bullshite. Put Kul on the job, we'll be fine.
