Ramey would be a massive get.

He's shot well. He's extremely quick with a tight dribble. Can't get to the bucket and looks to pass.

I was lucky enough to be at WG's game against Brentwood on Sat.

Ramey's poise and calm play stood out. Not an elite shooter, not elite speed, but always calm and collected through every situation. Really good at all aspects of a PG. Smart decisions all game long.

His teammate Gordon I suspect will have to adjust to a wing in college at SLU. Great athlete, just not tall enough to be a post in college. He has the speed and athleticism to make the switch, don't know about the outside shot and ballhandling.

They played against Darius Garland, son of Winston Garland, the old SMSU star. Vanderbilt is getting a good player in Garland. He showed some elite speed and playmaking ability at times. Took his team on his shoulders in the second half and won the game.

I think Gordon will do fine in the A10, but I agree he is kind of a tweener like Puryear. He's more athletic, but doesn't shoot as well.

I was really impressed with Ramey's ability to get to the rim against Oak Hill. That's a team with elite athletes all over the floor.

CG is a hard one to figure out, he lacks what most big men use, but also has tools most bigs dont have. He's learned(thanks to rameys injury) to become a point-forward, and handles the ball extremely well for a "big men". Is shot isn't mid range isn't horrible, we can hit it from the elbow. Hes started working on his mid range-3. This is really his only way to be effective at the next level.

As for Ramey, high motor and high IQ. As others have pointed, he doesnt have elite speed, and just a so-so first step. But he is good at not turning the ball over. He an score from anywhere, and is getting at getting to the free throw line.

Oak Hill was amazing. They start 5 guys committed to high-level D1 programs. They did not miss many shots and made fewer mistakes.
