Whoa, I didn't notice that you are a Springfieldian, Rambo! Greatest city in Missouri. Welcome, brother.

Btw, Cheshire, I do not have a dog. My wife likes cats. I would like a dog but the cats will need to pass on to the great animal sanctuary in the sky before that happens.

Why do you ask?

Favoritism noted. My Mickey D's tramp stamp avatar was removed as inappropriate...compared to some of the others allowed, that is a joke

That probably explains why they're not camped out on every Missouri thread.

Yeah no kidding, but honestly I kind of miss him.

I need to board my two dogs for a week and my normal boarder, Happy Tails, will not take my youngest dog because she is 4.5 months old and has not been spayed yet. They won't board dogs that haven't been spayed.

So, I'm trying to find recommendations for boarders in the area. I've just used Happy Tails ever since we moved here because a girl my wife went to high school owns it so I'm not familiar with any of the other facilities in the area.

If he's banned I would guess that he is responsible for his banning.

Cheshire,

I know someone who dog sits for a number of people in the area - including me when we are away. I'm not sure what boarding costs, or if you HAVE to board them rather than let them out twice a day, but it has worked well for us. She is really reliable and trustworthy.

I appreciate the offer.

We actually have a "dog sitter" that we have used in the past. The issue this time is our puppy. She isn't ready to have run of any of the area of the house yet as we have with our pups in the past when we go out of town on vacations. That's why we want to board them this time. That way she can play all day and only have to be "crated" at night like she normally is when we are home.

I just don't want to leave her in a crate all day except for the 3 times our dog sitter would come over and I don't want to come home to my house destroyed if we leave her out.

This has actually brought up one of the reasons that I love this area. People are just so friendly. I was at my vets this morning and one of the techs offered to take them in for a week if I didn't feel comfortable with any of the boarders. Very cool offer that I don't think you would see at a lot of places.
