Recently released court documents show Dorial Green-Beckham has been more cooperative in the police investigation than the other two men arrested with him during a traffic stop last month.

quote:

According to the documents, on days following the arrest, police attempted to obtain cellphone records and DNA evidence from all three men — Green-Beckham was the only one to provide both without a search warrant.

quote:

Green-Beckham, who was with his attorney, agreed to provide a DNA sample, police say, and also “voluntarily consented to having his cell phone searched.”

Based upon a brief reading of Prouty's Twitter cache on the interwebs, I would guess he's in no hurry to give up his cellphone records in detail.

It's sounding like he'll escape any felony charges. Might get a misdemeanor possession, but I bet it's nothing more than that. If that.

Por que? His tweets allude to unsavory activities? You don't say...

Seriously, what do they say?

I don't have any of them at hand, but reading them at the time of the arrest, they seemed to indicate he was a non-traditional entrepreneur.

Eta: Couple of allusions to sizzurp and dealing. Also, he "keeps it 100." Any Caucasian who utters that phrase in any usage other than ironic should probably be beaten about the head and shoulders until unconscious.

Oh, Lawd. DGB has got to be smarter than this. Too much on the line to run with thugs, son.

I don't get why DNA samples are needed in this case. Makes as much sense as DNA swabs at checkpoints. Police State.

Yeah, that didn't make sense to me either. Looking for DNA on the half-smoked doobie? Seems like overkill...

I don't get it either ST. I know there is a back log for DNA tests and that's for murder and rape cases. Why they would be bothering here is beyond me. My guess is they just want to put their DNA into some database and maybe match them up to some crime that has yet to be committed.
