After these 3 most recent commits, does anyone have predictions for the last few spots?

If we just finish up with Beckner and Jacobs...I'll be thrilled no matter who else we get. Would be nice to add nothing but DL.

Damn, I'm gonna stay away from the computer more often. Love the pickups today. Un-frickin-believable. The most overlooked but potentially best story might be Abgisimere however we spell it.
This class has me pumped.

And read on for Nobles' impressions of Smith:
"He's just got God-given ability running out his ears. He's 6-7, runs a 4.5 40, great hands. He power cleans 300 pounds. People have a hard time grasping that. That's a lot of weight for anybody, especially a kid at that height. He's got tremendous strength and great work ethic. I think Missouri got a good one."
When did he devote himself to football full-time?
"I got the head job his freshman year (2011) and he started for us as a receiver as a freshman. He was a big-time basketball player all throughout. He's played AAU basketball with one of those big teams up in Atlanta, and he's put all his time into that. His sophomore year, he didn't play football. He came back out last year as a junior and it took him about half the year to get acclimated to football again.
"By the end of the season last year, we saw how dominant he could be. Then this summer, he was with us the whole summer and, for a little while, he almost went to Hargrave Military just to do basketball. He worked it all out. I tried to encourage Justin all along. We could see the potential he had. A 6-7 basketball player, there's a lot of them. A 6-7 receiver with his skill set, they don't come around very often.
"I'm glad he came back out with us. He led us to our first region championship in almost 20 years. We went to the third round of the state playoffs, he had more than 1,000 yards receiving. It was a blessing. It's been neat to see him grow up, and his leadership. He's got a tremendous ceiling because he's got so much to learn football-wise. He just hasn't put a lot of time into it. If he gets in there and just focuses on football, I think he can be scary good."
How did MU assuage any fears he had after Grinch left?
"Going into the visit this weekend, I don't know how excited Justin was, honestly, about it. But getting up there and seeing it, he talked a lot about the facilities, the school in general, the success they've had and how well they do academically. Justin wants to be successful. I think he realized he was dealing with champions up there.
"The coaching staff did a great job of convincing him of that this weekend and making him feel at home. I think that was one of the biggest things with Justin. N.C. State had been on him real heavy and showed him a lot of love. That's important for a high school kid. They want to be wanted, and I think Missouri really showed him this weekend that they wanted him as bad as anybody."
Why have DI schools been so slow to come calling for him?
"He had the opportunity, he was invited to the Under Armour or Rivals, one of those big invitation-only combines last spring and he didn't get to go to that because of AAU basketball. I think that turned a lot of folks off. And he didn't really fully commit to football until, actually, he told me the Friday night after Thanksgiving, when we played our last football game, he told me that night after the game, 'Coach, I want to play college football. I think that's what I'm supposed to do.'
"I guess, with him getting into it this late in the game and really committing to it, he's picked up offers from (Appalachian) State, Georgia Southern has offered him, some more folks. I think Justin's going to be one of those kids that, in several years, there's going to be a lot of these schools that look back and I think they'll realize they made a big mistake.
"You look at a lot of these stars beside a lot of these recruits' names, there's no way you can tell me a kid that's 6-7, can run like he can, jump and do all that, he doesn't have all that. I can tell you he's got the intangibles to be a really, really good player."

Jeeez I'm pumped. These last 2 commits are so far from their peak. They have so much room to get better. And they're already damn impressive. Cannot wait to get them on campus.

One more before we have to start talking about guys transferring out. That spot goes to Beckner. After that, we're talking about a situation where scholarships have to be freed up. I think there will be 2-3 guys that leave the program. So give me:
Jacobs
Hall
and if there's a 3rd guy that leaves
Pinkney or really any of the WR's impress me and if not one of them, then Howell on the OL.

You've also got a couple guys there that might not have their scholarship renewed...like Hunt and Hurrel. We'll have a couple transfers. 3-5 # looks about right.

2 star recruit getting in the door early, probably a smart move on his part, not that he has too much to worry about.

The fact that you're that excited about 3 star or no star commits,,, well, yea, pretty obvious statement about the recruiting problem. As for the Abismeere kid, no offense to Kul, but I'd like to see what Odom can do w/ a really athletic LB, hasn't been that long since Gooden, whose speed was never utilized the way it could have been in the blitz.

Pretty obvious you don't understand how the star system works. No stars means no evaluation. Abgisimere went to a school so small they just closed down. There are over a million kids playing high school football. They don't all get ranked. That's why the coaches get paid to find these unknowns through the relationships they set up with coaches in every region. You can argue a point about 3 stars not being that good, but two of them are possibly going in the first round for Mizzou.
Sure I would rather have all four and five star guys but since the coaches think we already have Beckner in pocket and will give us a class ranked around 20(better than ever before), I think its smart to fill the squad with some hidden gems. God knows they've proven they can do it.

lol,, yea the "star system" is just so complicated. I understand that if you have "no stars" it's because you're so far under the radar nobody has noticed you. I realize that "under the radar" and "diamonds in the rough" are a religion to a large portion of Mizzou fans, for the millionth time, this religion of yours has never won a championship. Sorry to have keep informing you of that fact.

If we were to go after the highest rated recruits and get a top recruiting class, the best we could get is what Ole Miss has been getting and that would be if we're lucky. I don't see Ole Miss winning any championships either. Mizzou is not a National Championship or bust program, sorry to have to inform you of that fact. Our best chance to win one is to continue doing what we do and finding players that fit Pinkel's system. Maybe you should watch some film on the recruits we got instead of being automatically pissed that they aren't a four star recruit.

lol, maybe you should not worry about "winning one" since it won't be happening in the "we do what we do" era. My interests go beyond that, your limitations in thinking are not mine, and no it isn't impossible to do at Mizzou, other coaches have won their conference without being an Urban Meyer or Nick Saban. I'm sorry facts are difficult concept for you, but maybe you shouldn't be so pissed that everyone isn't on the same koolaid high bandwagon you ride on.
