Yeah, Lynn did well last night.
But it still kills me that he isn't in the bullpen.
Guy throws 75% fastballs. Really not a 3-4 pitch kind of guy, which is typically what a starter has in his arsenal.
He's down to 92 as a starter, he'd be pumping those fastballs in at 95-96 as a reliever.
That big fat body. Guy belongs in the pen.

Nice outing by Lynn I was hoping he'd bounce back.

They should still be solid.. 4 good teams in the central.
Yo, Garza, and Lohse will give them good starts.
But yeah, we're on another level. We're definitely better.

Royals and Cards both 2 games back!

Ever heard of 'rope a dope'
That's what we're doing.
When the time is right we'll unleash the fires of hell on the rest of baseball and storm to a 102 win season.

Not gonna happen. Cards will win like 85 games.
Posted on 4/16/14 at 9:27 pm to BZ853
Cards will win 90 games minimum.
They are just toying with people right now.
And at any time they could deploy mid season reinforcements, the likes of which have never been seen before in baseball.

I feel like letting it out, so here goes.
Holliday sucks. I don't care what anyone else thinks. Come at me.
Guy has sat out a WS game 7 because of a sore pinky.
He's dropped a routine fly ball in a playoff game.
He's sat out a meaningful last game of the season to preserve his .300 average.
Led the league in double plays last year.
Has only twice hit more than 25 hrs as a Cardinal.
He's a complete meat wagon. He's dumb. He's not clutch. He's got a useless personality. I hate his fat bald head.
----
Allen Craig looks like a old man. Did he even train this offseason?
Guy signed a contract and his bat speed is cut in half.
----
Bourjos sucks. I can't believe I was excited about this guy.
He looks like he just started swinging right handed a few months ago.
----
Perralta has sucked for awhile. Not sure why he was given 4 years and decent money.
Under .260 3 out of the last 5 years.
----
Matheny isn't very smart. He lost in the business world because he's not sharp, and he's nothing special as a manager.
He's best buds with Holliday, which is a problem and conflict of interest.
His personality kind of sucks. His interviews or monotone and lame. He's not lively. I hate how he walks out to the mound.

Sleeping tiger: maybry and matheny changed craigs batting stance this year bc .434 RISP is not good enough apparently ....
Who do you want Wong or Garcia?

No. He lost a lot of money because he was invested in office space on Highway 40 in the middle of the worst economic downturn in decades.

That was a cheap shot that was sparked by frustration.
I'm certain the economy is why that failed.
I was looking forward to having a charismatic and engaging manager when Tony retired, I really thought we were going to get that with MM, but he's got a deer in the headlights bland personality for the most part.
I tend to judge people by how engaging they are, this has nothing to do with being in intra or extravert, and I think Matheny is very robotic and meh.

Haven't seen enough of Garcia, but I think the hope is Wong can get it figured out because he's got the higher ceiling. Garcia does seem decent, though.
Short term Garcia, hopefully Wong in the long term.

That rope that Grichuck pulled to left looked beautiful. Such a nice swing on him, got to think he can pass Bourjos on the depth chart.
And he made a real nice play with a slide in center.
