Shelby is bad.

Curveball is just terrible.

Fastball has no movement.

Guys can wait on fastball because the curve is a joke.

Think he leads the league in walks per 9.

He's given up like 10 hr's already.

Guy is losing value every start.

At the Memorial Day poll looks like Cards are improving with Royals treading water.

That is cool. He was playing long toss before the game and talking to fans along the third base line.

A fan screwed up catching a pop up, hit him right in the head, Jeter was definitely the most concerned guy on the field, kept looking back to see if he was okay.

Best modern day SS and catcher

Observation from the game tonight, Ballpark Village is killing the other bars in the area.

Paddy O's was dead.

All the little bars in the area totally dead.

I park at an old family friends bar off Broadway, one guy was in there drinking after the game.

Thats cool man. I wish I would have found some time to go see Jeter play this series.

Yeah, I tried to absorb it in an old timey way. Hopefully I'll look back on it 40 years from now the way old men look back on the real greats.

Dad is in town, so it was just me and him. Will be a good memory one day.

That's what some waitresses in Soulard were saying. Hope it's temporary.

Me too. But I flip back n forth between being optimistic and pessimistic about it.

Sometimes I think the new will where off, once everybody goes a coupe times they'll go back to regular bars.

Then I think that it's the perfect place for the modern mainstream person and it's going to end having some noticeable rippling effects on the bars and restaurants downtown.

Had to go to a bachelor party there this weekend, was surprised at how crowded it was with the Cards out of town.

That's a cool pic. I think with time, the smaller bars will do ok, assuming they can last until then. Ballpark Village is just the new thing. After the newness, I think you'll see more people at the smaller bars, though probably never in the same numbers.

Anyone going to this Saturday's game? If so, I'll be there. I may even buy you a drink...
