lol true. Brown is solid tho. Really think he will have a great career at Mizzou.
I'm very excited about Brown. Seems like a great athlete, and a really good kid too.
With Josey declaring for the draft, we really can't afford to lose a RB from this class. We need to keep Ross. His highlights?

I thought Ross was going to be a safety

The winner of the Emmanuel Smith sweepstakes has a good shot at getting his brother 4star 2015 LB Josh Smith

Well, we should be in a position to finish the cycle strong. Hopefully we can nail down a few good players on defense to round out the class. And keep that big OL who's checking out USF since it's close to home.

Mikale Wilborn RB out of Chicago has reopened his recruitment. Had committed to Vandy. Has a scholarship offer from us. I say go after him. We will have a couple de commit from us and one maybe a RB. He fits the mold of our RB's 5'9" 190lbs

Nate Brown has decided not to take official visits to Georgia or South Carolina!

Jeez. Just an attention whore who wasn't getting enough?!?!?! Don't even care if it was Boise St. but I don't get kids. I'm sure my dad said the same thing about me though.

RB that had committed to Cal. Mizzou had offered and had made final 5 or 6 or whatever.

I'm with ya. I follow recruiting, but it doesn't matter until those faxes come in
I also don't see how we could flip anyone that plays in the secondary with the youth/depth that we have there.

Yeah, I don't follow recruiting that closely - I refuse to let myself get all worked up over 18 year old boys - but I was surprised you offered Ross. I thought your defense was very young this season, and looking ahead you were pretty set for the next couple of years.
I saw on the recruiting board that he may have some grade issues though? Maybe with his core GPA? Not sure if that can be fixed in this last semester and/or with summer school or not.

Well, shows what I know, looks like he might be a Dawg
He played at a small school, but looks good on many levels. I think we might of had a spot come open and he just happened to get the offer, but I have no idea. I get excited about the small school kids from around here and try to keep up with them wherever they go.
Recruiting is insane. These are just kids who are treated like royalty and end up being drama queens with all the attention.
The "I'll be taking my talents to" shite is hilarious, as is most of the hoopla and press conferences.

He didn't look extremely fast, but he sure could hit hard, and seems to have a nose for the ball. I hate for us to lose someone on defense though, we need some more size and talent on defense. This year, our ends were so good they masked the weakness of the tackles until we got exposed in the game against Auburn. We had 2 freshmen that will be a lot better and more experienced DTs for next year, but our class is low on linemen.
