He was asked to take an administrative position, he still wants to coach. More than likely be replaced by Dave Leito.

TE Eric Cotton from Idaho is at Mizzou's team camp today and reportedly holds an offer, per GD.

We need to replace him with a good X's and O's Coach. This worries Me.

Quote from Justice Hansen after the Springfield Camp:

quote:

Missouri will for sure always be in it, Hansen said. They're the first school to offer, they're not too far from home, and I love the coaches.

Probably why we never offered Peavy. Coaches must feel very confident about our chances.

Anyone hearing anthing about Anthony Jennings? I heard his decision would likely be between Mizzou and Oregon.

ETA: read the thread and just gut feelings.

Don't think Mizzou recruited him. He was really under the radar.

I figured it would likely come down to between us. And I have not heard anything. I tried to go to the Jennings thread on DucksAttack but I dont have an account and I wasnt going to make one up. Hopefully staying in the SEC is a major priority for him though.

I dont mean this to sound negative but this is what I know and have heard. He is an ok scorer. His problems are that he plays soft and will disappear sometimes. He probably needs to get into the weight room when he gets to Auburn. We didnt offer him and I dont know much more than that. I dont see him being a star at the college level but I do think he could possibly find a role on the team. Good Luck to you guys.

I know the kid grew up a Sooner Fan. But after hearing that quote I feel like if they wait too long to offer then that might all not matter. Usually as soon as they offer kids are gone, but this might be different. We will see.

Jennings to LSU, sucks. I thought we had a good shot, but I guess not. I was really hoping to pull our first recruit out of GA or FL soon

I really don't know, kind of a kick in the balls though. Now we really have to hope that Hosick is our Tim Tebow.

I dont think we know who the next main prospect is right now. We lost out on Printz and Jennings. This kind of sucks. We need to find another prospect on that same tier. The beneficial thing is we went all in with Jennings and we could afford to because it is so early in the process. We will still have plenty of time to evaluate and key on other Quarterbacks.

State thinks they have Sandberg in the bag but you will quickly learn that their recruiting guys are notoriously bad at overselling how interested a recruit really is in them.
